Bio of Francis Price White

A true Missionary of Christ, a woman after God’s own heart, a woman with a heart of gold and faith that through Christ anything was possible.

Her story began December 30th, 1940, in Bassfield, Ms. Francis Joyce Price White was born to the late Rich Price and Nancy Norwood Price. She was the 4th of 13 children.

At an early age she was baptized at Progress MB Church and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

.

After High School at Carver High, she later joined matrimony with her late husband Mitchell Smith White in Prentiss, MS. With this Union there was an inclusion of 7 children which she left to cherish in memory:

Mitchell and Francis resided in Mt Zion Community and were active members of Mt Zion MB Church in Prentiss, MS. They raised their children up in the church, teaching them the way and all they could about the word of God. Teaching them to put God first in everything they did.

After the death of Franci’s father, Rich Price, they moved back to her hometown of Bassfield, MS where she resided until her death in 2021.

In 1989 her husband and father of her children, Mitchell White, was brutally robbed and murdered leaving Francis to finish raising her 4 younger sons by herself. Her daughters and oldest son were already grown and away from home. She remained a widow until death, her focus was her children, God and her ministry.

Francis was a woman after God’s own heart and lived her life teaching the word of God through her Radio Ministry for 30 years in Prentiss, MS. She ministered and prayed for many near and far until she became ill. She was truly loved by the community, raising and feeding other children just like they were her own children and helping anyone that came her way. Giving words of encouragement and praying for anyone who needed it.

The First Entrepreneur In The Price and White Family

Francis was one of Jeff Davis County’s best Seamstresses, making and altering clothes for the public from a very young age. She made her living and raised her children through her gift of sewing. She had her own style and was always designing and sewing for the whole town.

Back then no one even considered her to be an entrepreneur, but that’s exactly what she was. Her legacy of sewing will remain forever through her daughter, Designer Jenn Cole, and will continue worldwide.

There is no doubt that heaven gained a true angel, one who was loved by everyone she met while on this earth.
